I am passionate about my garden because it is a haven for wildlife and a haven for me. A Cornish hedge and bushes surround the bottom part. We have space for the family to run around and keep pets including chickens. We have a secret reading corner with a bench. Luxuriant, exuberant life is all around, from the soil to the treetops. My happiness grows along with the plants. But places like this have fallen victim to infill building, causing light pollution, noise and depletion of habitats. Do people who cram houses and garages into back garden plots realise how much is lost in the process? If only everyone understood the sheer joy and the true value of gardens.
