Listeners' pictures at 5pm
I was on my way home from work, taking the first view (of Princes Street), and talking about the Window on Your World thing to Michael, a homeless man who begs on the steps. He said he thought it might be a good idea for me to take a picture of him - so that people could see homelessness was still a problem in 2006. So I did - and have his permission for the photo to be used. It's not at all posed. Michael sleeps in Princes Street Gardens at night - he doesn't like the hostels because there are too many junkies.
