Listeners' pictures at 5pm
Due to road improvements in Lowestoft I take a circuitous route home and pass this birch tree every evening in Borrow Road. It's leaves have gradually turned yellow in this very late Autumn and have now dropped from the top branches leaving a fragile cascade of glistening leaves on the lower branches. These catch the sun during the day and in this photograph the orange of the street lights at night.
It almost makes the queuing in Lowestoft worthwhile. Happily I was able to leave work earlier on Tuesday so that it was where I was at 5pm.
