Listeners' pictures at 5pm
This is a picture of my 'laboratory' -- really a desk in the corner of my office -- which is itself a kind of lobe of my living room. I'm a self-employed lichenologist, so when I'm not out in the woods recording data and collecting lichens, I'll often be sat here engaged in microscopic examination of my lichen specimens (as today). Or writing reports at my computer, which is approximately where the photo was taken from.
By the way, the booze on the desk is being used as lab alcohol -- I don't sit here and get trolleyed all day. Its some kind of absurdly strong spirit someone brought back from Greece. You'd only drink the stuff in desperation.
