I have listened to PM for many many years and it is, for me, the watershed between tea with a biscuit sort of time, and pour a drink time, that's never before 6pm. 'PM' at this time of year means that I am late locking up our hens, (must go and do it now!) but in the summertime there would still be another 4 or 5 hours until they put themselves to bed.
The little Christmas tree on my window sill was a gift from my father to my mother in 1930s, and although very tatty now, I love it as it reminds me of them both.
Hope this 'message in a bottle' means something to somebody out there!
