My husband’s serving in S. Afghanistan. Half way through the deployment this is my morale boosting mantelpiece. When he’s away (which is often) I keep one clock set to his local time. Blueys (forces airmail letters) and e-blueys (hybrid mail) are our lifeline and my countdown chart has greys day at the end of the deployment because transport to get him home is so, so unreliable!
