Here’s what I was doing at 5pm on Tuesday 5 December 2006.
What am I doing?
I am sitting in my office at Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust developing our appeal to raise money to buy a nature reserve for this Trust. This will be the largest and most important appeal in our 42 year history because this is a popular bird watching site in the lower lee valley and to buy it we must raise 100k before the end of the year! The whole Trust is alive with the activity because if we can’t raise the money, someone else could buy it- and then the future is unknown. Right now it seems that we’ve not been doing much else- so I thought it really does demonstrate what is going on at this exact point in time.
I’ve been listening to the programme for a couple of years now (I quite miss the bird song that stood in for big ben for a while earlier this year) and I’m looking forward to hearing how this project develops!
