5.00pm - going home in Sheffield (or trying to).
I'm all for congestion charging provided:-
a) An option of some time is provided for a 'no charge' journey; even if it is midnight to 5.00am.
b) Other motoring taxes, particularly road fund licence, is abolished - but I am not holding my breath on that. We have a Chancellor who believes he can spend my money more wisely than I.
c) On the subject of our 'Dear' Chancellor, (Dear in financial terms, not the amorous meaning) I hear he recently made a speech to business saying he would reduce red tape and make the bureaucracy simpler. After the way he has 'simplified' so many of the tax rules, god help business!
