Attached is my view on the world at 5.00 pm GMT (6.00pm local) today. With roller in hand I am getting to finish our barn conversion in the Perigord Vert. The job has taken the best part of 2 years including huge admlinistrative delays and the lack of enthusiasm on the part of french artisans. In the end you get on with the job yourself - plumbing - electircs - plastering - the lot.
Had the picture deadline been a few minutes earlier it would have found me helping my farmer neighbour to extract his Renault 'Express' van from a very muddy field in the total dark. They don't have 4x4's because being conservative French and there not being a native French made 4x4 they prefer to call upon the English neighbours and their 'cat-cat' ( short for 'quatre - quatre') to assist when needed. It was indeed very muddy and the field was full of huge limusin cattle and so I wasn't about to let off a flash gun to antagonise them! You'll have to put up with the roller in hand at 5 o'clock GMT.
An interesting experiment...
