We asked PM listeners to take a photo at 5pm on Tuesday the 5th of December.
Here is my typical view at 5:00 pm Mon - Thursday. This is my small corner of a much larger view. I talk to people, on a phone with a headset, and type on to this screen all day. Then I catch the end of PM on my way home, if I get out in time.
The larger view (2) shows that most people have already gone home. Sometimes there are just two of us left in a vast empty space. The main lights are on a timer after 5:30 pm and if they switch off automatically, we have to run to a panel on the wall and press a selection of buttons to light up the areas we need. It gives a great feeling of power to have control over who gets light! Only superior beings know about the buttons.
