Still working and will carry on until 1900 hrs. I have been working at home now for 9 years since I set up this consultancy company.

All the staff work from home providing consultancy services on the emission of carbon dioxide. Because of the company is concerned to demonstrate that we have a commitment to low carbon emission, working from home is a method of reducing our carbon “footprint”.

As you can see, despite the increased use of computers, paper is still a major part of office life. The use of paper (provided it is recycled) is on the face of it a good communication method for low carbon emission as it must promote investment in trees, although the transportation and manufacture of paper is a downside.

The huge increase in the use of computers has increased connectivity, communication but what is the increase of energy consumption having on the environment? Do we bring back paper and grow our own trees in the back garden.

I wonder which is more carbon efficient, paper or computers?
