A little background for you because you asked.
Each day at 5pm I try desperately to get out of the office to hook up with you all to get me home. Most days I fail abysmally and it is 5:30pm before I manage it. As a result I get into trouble with my wife and daughter because I am late home for supper. Tonight however, my plan was to leave the office at 4pm and to be home so that my WOTW would be of me in the kitchen slaving away. As you can see I failed again. I did however, manage to get out of the office at 5:02pm and so was home in time to cook the rice for supper (best rice every cooked, was it something to do with you getting me out the office on time Eddie?) and then to go with daughter to Sincil Bank (home of the mighty Imps) to watch them beat the Pirates 1-0. So your desire to see what I do at 5pm has got me out of the office on time for once. Oh what do I do?
My job is to clinically lead (manage) the mental health team in Skegness and the surrounding rural area. I am a nurse and still have a caseload of complex cases. I lead a team of 25 staff consisting of nurses, social workers, OT (though that post is vacant at present, mental health OTs appear to be as abundant as hen’s teeth), support staff and my excellent admin staff.
Well tomorrow Eddie (or as you can see from the time of this e-mail later today) I will once again be trying to get out of the office by 5pm, probably failing and so missing where I can see the WOTW photos. But Radio 4 will stay with me late into tomorrow evening as I will be out delivering laptops to teenagers with terminal illnesses. (www.mattdotcom.org.uk)
