My picture shows the washing I'm hanging on the airer which is temporarily in the front room amongst various furniture etc stored there for a few weeks. Why? We are having a new kitchen. Why? We have decided not to move from the delights of Hampton Hill, near Hampton Court where I have lived for 35 years; and my wife with me for 29 on Christmas Eve ... well she moved in 2 weeks later.

So the 25 year old one (seen in the distance) goes to make for a room opening into our garden - tiny but a sun trap and evening sun is gorgeous.

I had wanted to photo the new kitchen work but could not get in there on the last pip. Got there 6 seconds later - but you are strict and I wanted the spontaneity, serendipity of the moment.

You ask what you are doing this for. This is one reason; so the likes of me can focus on what we have in life - home and family. That we have two fine boys ... the second's birth announcement written for us by Stuart Henderson based upon his wonder at the first.

So thanks for being so much more than a programme.
