We asked PM listeners to take a picture of what they could see at 5pm on Tuesday the 5th of December.
I take lecture notes for disabled students at Canterbury Christ Church University, and on two evenings a week I am still in lectures at 5 p.m. – but can catch up with PM on the net later or via your letter or blog. On Tuesday evening the lecture is (third year) Religion and Visual Studies, and here is Professor Gareth Jones just before the break. There are plenty of students, but they are behind or to the side of me. I sit in the corner to be near a plug for my Z88 computer (for keen Z88-ers you can see the cover). I deliberately put the Canterbury water bottle in the picture (with my name on it), but it was fortuitous that the word ’perspective’ was on the board, as well as ‘sacramental’ to give a hint of the subject, and that the clock was in view. It is not a very sharp picture of Gareth – I used an instant digital camera and maybe it focussed on the bottle. Hey ho.
