We asked PM listeners to take a picture at 5pm on Tuesday the 5th of December.
In lots of places around the country Charollais sheep breeders are spending their time, day and night, in their lambing sheds and the main thing apart from the sheep, a packet of biscuits and a flask of tea is the wireless. It keeps the shepherd company and the sheep happy (although I guess the lambs would rather have Radio 1 than 4)
This year we have even been lucky enough (?!) to have the Test match on at night.
So at 5pm yesterday I was out in the shed giving the sheep their supper, unlike at 5am the same day when I was out in the sheep shed having heart attacks about the cricket!
