"Caird Hall in Dundee was (still is) owned by the local council, and as an office worker we were offered the grand some of 'five bob' per show to operate the spotlights - there were only TWO!
In between shows (and during shows!) I would use my newly acquired SLR camera to take some candid shots. As my camera was far superior to the then common Box Brownie, you can see that some of the artists were willing to pose for me thinking I was a 'pro' - I let them think that."
